Earl Warren Experiences

I have an experience in the other schools I have been to, but my Earl Warren experience is the best! I remember when I first came to Earl Warren in 5th grade. I got scared the first day. I was also kind of shaking when I walked in the huge classroom. I also remembered when my talented class beat the other class at almost everything! Like at kickball, dodgeball, the Wii Rock Band 2 competition, and more. It was challenging, although I didn't really do much in it. I have numerous awards. The best is getting a gold medal for being advanced on the STAR test. I have only been in Earl Warren since the 5th grade. I could have gotten more! I have a lot of experiences, but I got the same teacher for 6th grade.

Thank You/ Goodbye

There are a few reasons why I said thank you to the class. I want to say it because I won't see the class forever! My classmates are very nice and supportative. I said thank you to my teacher too, because Mr. Castro was nicer to me than last year. It's because he would make me flip my card more. Middle school is fantastic, so I am not really sad. I am a little sad because I might go to a weird school. Everyone might be mean over there. I might miss my friends, so I said goodbye.

Teacher's Message

I am really going to miss having Darlene in my class. I could always count on her to do her best, and I saw her grow both academically and socially. Since Darlene often keeps to herself in class, it took me a little while to get to know her. Once I did, I realized just how intelligent she is. She is a fantastic writer, very strong in reading, and a great math student. I enjoyed joking around with her and chatting with her about her baby sister. My favorite memory of her was our trip to Six Flags. While many of the other kids were terrified of the rides, she sat there calmly with her hands up in the air. I really appreciate how she is always so cool and relaxed about everything. Outstanding job Darlene! Keep me posted on your future successes!

Biography

My name is Darlene. I am 11 years old. I was born in Sacramento. It was in 1997. I live with my mom, dad, and little sister. I am Vietnamese. My family celebrates Christmas and other interesting holidays. My parents met in Sacramento. The best cousin in the world is Megan! She always helps me when I need help, and she is very cool. My mom was born in Vietnam. She works very hard. I have a lot of memories. Like when we went to the state fair. I rode on many rides. Then, I played a game. I won a small, funny, stuffed dog. I got really happy because I like dogs. Some person told me that I am a nerd. It's because I have to be organized and good, so I do not have to get in trouble. I have a long biography, and I am only 11!

Interests

I like to do many different things. I like to watch television, I can learn many different things from many channels. My other favorite thing to do is to play basketball. That is the only sport I like. I do not really play it a lot though. I just watch it on television because it is more interesting. My favorite basketball team is the Sacramento Kings. They are not really good right now, but they can improve, I also like to watch my little sister watching television because she likes to sing when there is American Idol. Most of the time, she dances and falls on something near her. She is a baby, so she laughs too. I like to play a lot of games, my favorite game system is the Wii, because you get to move around more than the other games. I like to eat food, because they are delicious. I like to do many weird things, because I am a weird person!

Goals For the Future

There are many great goals, but I have my own. I want to go to college to get a good education. I hope I don't get a bad job because it's boring. My other goal is to be a successful architect. It's because it sounds awesome, I get to draw buildings, and you could get a lot of money. I also have a goal not to do drugs, alcohol, and to wear my seatbelt ALL THE TIME. I have exciting goals.
