Do You Know Me?

Hi, my name is Kayla. I am 12 years old. My birthday is May 18th. I was born in the Paradise Hospital, that is in California. I am Indian and Irish. My hometown is Durham. I have lived there since I was 3 years old. Then I moved to Sacramento when I was 10. For about 2-3 months, I lived with my aunt and uncle. My older sister, Ashlay, stays with my grandma in Durham. I miss her but that's okay. I live with my mom, dad, and baby sister.Their names are Suzie, David, and Dayvielyn. I also have two brothers. Justin and Nico. My favorite childhood memory was last year (2008) when my mom bought a R.V. We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, San Diego, and the beach. We were in the R.V. for 2 months with 7 people: my mom, my dad, my older sister, her old boyfriend, my baby sister, my best friend, and me. We also had two chihuahuas: Bare and Thumbaleana. We also had a Great Dane Elle. We all went to my uncle Shawn's house. We had a lot of fun.

Future Goals!

For my future, I think I want to be a  Kindergarten Teacher. All the teachers I have had, have inspired me more than you could ever imagine. But before I become a teacher, I want to work at a little Jamba Juice store because that is my most favorite place to be in the world. How about you?

At Home!

At my house we have so much fun. We always go to DANIOS. It is in Sacramento and it is just like a mall only it is outside. There is so much good food. Next, we always go to the park with my baby sister. She loves to go on the swings. Plus, at dinner time we always have the best food. Like, chicken, mashed patatos, rice, and gravy. Everyone that comes over to my house they say that it is nasty, but I make them try it. And then they really like it! That is what a day at my house is like!

Teacher's Message!

Kayla was a fantastic addition to our class! I know that it is not always easy joining a new class (especially one that has been together for two years), but she fit right in. At first, I was concerned because she was pretty far behind in math. For most kids this would have been a major problem, but not for Kayla. She worked very hard and was able to catch up in a relatively short amount of time. I also saw improvement in her reading, writing, and work habits. My favorite memories of Kayla were the awesome stories she would tell the class during our discussions. She has had many interesting life experiences that she would share with the class. Kayla is extremely friendly and fun to talk to. I know that she has a bright future ahead of her. She has the skills necessary to be successful in school and to achieve her dreams. Thanks for all of your hard work and for bringing a positive attitude to our classroom everyday.
