Autobiography
Hello, my name is Sharon. I was born in Sacramento, CA, born on August
15, 1997 at the time 6:38am. I am 11-years-old still. I live with
my mother, father, oldest brother (Kao Hinh age 17), second
oldest brother (Billy age 14), and my younger sister (Sherry age
8) in an apartment.
For about 8 years
now, I lived with my dad's parents and sister. My grandmother
mostly took care of me when my mother was still pregnant with my
younger sister in the hopsital, so my grandmother taught and spoke to
me in my language, Mien. I was very good at speaking and understanding
it then.
Later in the middle of 4th grade, I
moved to an apartment about two blocks away from my grandparents and
aunt. I still attended Earl Warren though, so I was happy about
that part. While years had pasted, my knowledge of speaking Mien has
vanished because mostly my family members talk to me in English now.
When I was 4, I remember that I always wanted to go to school because
my older brothers would bring home crafts that they made at Earl Warren
Elementary.
My mom's name is
Yien, and my dad's name is Max. They say that I need to do well in
school, and while I am, they encourage me to go to college. They're my
parents, you know, and I can't change that.
good-bye and Advice
For
the new 4th graders, that are going to Mr. Castro's class, be
well-behaved and don't make him be a madman because if you do behave
and don't make him a lunatic, then you will have a great year. Well,
homies, my time is up in Earl Warren Elementary, so peace out!!!

teacher's message
When I think of Sharon, one word pops up in my head... WRITER! She has accomplished something as a sixth grader that most people (including myself) could never do. Of course, I am talking about the full-length novel that she wrote. My favorite memory involving Sharon was how the other teachers and adults reacted when I showed them her book. They were flabbergasted to say the least. The dedication and perseverance necessary to complete this amazing project inspires me. In class, Sharon mostly kept to herself, but that was just a cover for the wild child within. She has a great personality and vivid imagination. If you don't believe me, just read a few pages of one of her stories. I am so proud of her, and I look forward to the day when I am in a bookstore and get to tell people that I taught the author of the latest best selling book!
